The entire Huffines Liberty Foundation team loved connecting with so many like-minded advocates for liberty at the 2024 Republican Party of Texas State Convention.
At our Huffines Liberty Foundation booth, we passed out t-shirts, hats, koozies, and other swag. Most importantly, we educated Texans on the solutions to the most pressing issues facing our great State: eliminating the school M&O property tax and securing the Texas Border. At HLF, we strive to solve the problem, not the symptoms of the problem.

Texas GOP Delegates Vote to Close Primaries
Following a report from HLF on how implementing closed primaries is a straightforward application of the Republican Party of Texas’ First Amendment rights of association, RPT delegates adopted Rule 46, which closes the Republican Primary in Texas.
Legal precedents in Texas, other states, and the U.S. Supreme Court provide a path to defend this new Rule 46 in court.
This new rule lays the groundwork for RPT Delegates to implement term limits as a party Rule. Term limits are yet another example of how political parties can exercise their freedom of association under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Courts have consistently upheld this right of political parties.
